老樅水仙(Old fir Narcissus)作為武夷巖茶的當家品種四大名樅之一,和大紅袍、肉桂是閩北烏龍茶的代表,是武夷巖茶的傳統優質品種.

老樅水仙茶葉葉質綿軟，成份豐富,老樅水仙茶湯味極濃醇且厚重，湯水順滑又兼具有陳年茶之味。老樅水仙為水仙茶中極品。水仙茶樹品種屬無性系、大葉、晚生種型，葉片比普通小葉種大一倍以上，葉質肥厚。老樅水仙其條索肥壯，色澤綠褐油潤而帶寶色。老樅水仙香濃辛銳、清長，有獨特的"蘭花香"。老樅水仙茶湯味濃醇厚，喉韻明顯，回甘清爽，湯色濃艷呈橙黃色，葉底軟亮，耐沖泡。 老樅水仙屬小喬木型大葉類,所謂老樅,是指茶樹樹齡長,至少有二十年以上,有的甚至百年以上.外觀條索較粗壯,呈油亮蛙皮青色.條索緊結沉重,葉端扭曲,色澤滑潤暗沙綠.香氣濃郁,有一股很幽很柔的蘭花香,有的則帶乳香和水仙花香.滋味醇厚回甘,湯色清澈橙黃,葉底厚軟黃亮,葉綠朱砂紅邊或紅點,既"三紅七青".
